  Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
  
  Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are those volunteers who have been trained to assist the Priest & Deacon in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. Due to the sacred nature of the Eucharist, participation a one day instructional course is required, resulting in a certification by the Archdiocese.  Following this training, these ministers are appointed by the Archbishop for a specific term to distribute Holy Eucharist at Mass.
